Meet somebody who finally understands.

Empowering & supportive.

Praysha is the kind of therapist who is motivated by the possibility of helping you overcome your greatest challenges in life.

Praysha Spearman is a Marriage and Family Therapist (GA License # MFT001602) who specializes in the treatment of complex trauma.

Since 2015, Praysha has been honored to help clients resolve long-standing issues of sexual trauma, suicide, grief, loss, crisis, criminal history, co-parenting issues, physical illness, workplace injuries, old age/end of life transitions, premarital relationships, divorce, depression, anxiety and more. After years of experience helping clients through therapy, Praysha’s passion only continues to increase over time.

Praysha received her Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2015 from Valdosta State University. Praysha utilizes evidence-based interventions, such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help clients discover long-awaited healing. Praysha offers individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy to address the various needs that impact a client’s overall wellbeing. Praysha’s clinical experiences include inpatient, outpatient and non-profit settings such as community service boards, an adolescent crisis center, Emory’s Farmworker Project, and a domestic violence shelter.

When clients are not sure what to expect from their therapeutic journey, Praysha makes it easy to navigate the entire process, from start to finish, with the goal of identifying what is most important to the client as a unique individual. Clients can plan to meet therapeutic goals within 6 months of starting therapy. Time-sensitive and cost-effective interventions are used to help clients identify goals quickly without sacrificing important aspects of the therapeutic process such as empathy, understanding and collaboration.

Therapy has the potential to become a long-term agreement, but only when desired and most beneficial for the client. Therapy should never become a burden for the client, and the client has the right to end therapy or transition to a new therapist at any time without penalty or misunderstanding. Even if Praysha is not the right therapist for you, please schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation and request a personalized list of referrals.

“I used to work with Praysha, and I highly recommend her for individuals and families. She is an amazing therapist!”
